AP CM to inaugurate Cancer hospital on Oct 30
Hyderabad, Oct 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy will inaugurate the Good Samaritan Cancer Hospital-cum-Research Centre at Eluru on October 30.
This will the first-of-its kind centre in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, being built by a voluntary Christian organisation, release said here today.
Bishops and Heads of various churches, led by Arch Bishop Rev Joji and MLC Rajeswar Rao, met the Chief Minister in this regard at his camp office.
They also thanked the Chief Minister for the Cabinet approval for sanctioning a separate section, exclusively for Christians, in the Department of Minorities Welfare and formation of the Christian Minority Finance Corporation.
Minority Commission member Rev Sinha and Bishop John Gollapalli were also present on the occasion.
