Siddaganga seer for 'Bharat Ratna'?

Bangalore, Oct 17: The Karnataka Government on Thursday, Oct 16 has decided to recommend the name of Siddaganga seer of Tumkur for the prestigious 'Bharat Ratna' award.

The other recommended names for the 'Padmabhushan' awards are Carnatic vocalist, R K Srikantan and Gadag's Hindustani vocalist Pandit Puttaraja Gawai. Apart from the two vocalists, poet, G S Shivarudrappa is aone among the 16 veterans recommended.
