MP EOW presents chargesheet in local court

Indore, Oct 17 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Economic Offences Wing (EOW) today presented a chargesheet in a local court against six people who allegedly caused a loss of about Rs 4.5 crore to the government.

''The chargesheet against -- Dinesh Pahwa, Bharat Chandel, Rajesh Juneja, Jayant Juneja, Rajesh Dubey and Dhanji Patel -- was presented before Additional Sessions Judge Mohammad Shamim. After permission is received, a chargesheet will be presented against public servants Yogendra Parde and Rajaram Pal of the Forests department besides O P Verma of the Commercial Tax Department,'' said Superintendent (EOW) Arun Jain.

Between 1998 and 2004, the accused requisitioned wood from Gujarat's Gandhidham area under different names and fake registration and availed concession from the government. The wood was directly sold in the market thereby causing revenue loss of Rs 4,36,85,134.
