India Meteorological Deptt to organise workshop in Shimla

Shimla, Oct 17 (UNI) India Meteorological Department (IMD) is organising a workshop on 'Users' Requirement of Weather and Climate in Western Himalayas' in Shimla on October 20.

"The objective of the workshop is to share our present meteorological services in Western Himalayas and to get feedback from our different users to improve the weather services for the users in the region," IMD Director Manmohan Singh said.

Users of weather data like media, administration, ITBP, Border Road Organisation, Airport Authority etc would participate in the workshop.

Delegates from Kashmir, Jammu and Uttrakhand will also participate in the workshop.
