IIM-Lucknow launches unique event with Karvy

Lucknow, Oct 17 (UNI) Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow, in association with Karvy Stock Broking Ltd has launched a unique event to concide with its Manfest-09 called 'Karvy online-the live trading game'.

The Game is aimed at testing the investment and portfolio management skills of the students of the participating B-schools, Corporate and other participatants in a competitive environment.

Mr Nitin Saxena, Vice-President and Zonal Head of Karvy Group today said that the new game would provide investor education and trainings for budding managers in the IIM Manfest-09.

''Everyone can participate in the game after opening a trading account with the Karvy,'' he said.

The teams taking part in the event get a chance to manage a portfolio worth Rs 10,000 or more over a period of 11 weeks. The teams are allowed to invest in equity, commodities, currency futures and mutual funds. He said the event would definitely attract the best talent from various Business schools and Corporate Houses as it would offer prize money worth Rs 1.75 lakhs and the 'Karvy Young Fund Managers Trophy.' Manfest-09 coordinator Abhishek Jajoo thanked the Karvy for providing such an excellent platform for the students of Business schools in order to develop their skills for becoming Portfolio and Fund Managers.
