Erapally Prasanna congratulates Sachin for his achievement

Bangalore, Oct 17 (UNI) Former Indian Test Cricketer Erapally Prasanna today congratulated master blaster Sachin Tendulkar on becoming highest run scorer in the world.

"I also congratulate Sachin for surpassing Brain Lara's record and I am very happy to hear the news about an Indian becoming world's highest run getter," Prasanna told UNI.

He said that "since I also belong to the same fraternity of cricket, I am really happy over today's achievement by the master blaster." "It also shows his mental and physical condition. It is not so easy to achieve milestones in Cricket it needs lot of things including your consistency, mental and physical fitness," he added.

Brushing aside the criticism about long innings taken by Sachin in achieving the feat of surpassing Lara's record 11953 runs, Prasanna said that " we should be proud that an Indian has become highest run getter in the world, set aside in how many innings or matches. The achievement is really encouraging and it motivates the upcoming cricketers," he added.
