Arijit Sengupta new IAAPI president

Kolkata, Oct 17 (UNI) Mr Arijit Sengupta, Director&CEO, Nicco Parks&Resorts Ltd, has been elected President of Indian Association of Amusement Parks&Industries (IAAPI) for 2008-09.

Headquartered in Mumbai, IAAPI is the apex body for amusement parks in India with the objective of providing a common platform to face the emerging challenges of the industry.

He had been the vice-president of the Association in 2007-08, according to an IAAPI release today.

Sengupta is also on the board of directors of Nicco Jubilee Park Limited, Jamshedpur, BDA Nicco Park&Resort Ltd, Bhubaneswar and Nandan Park Ltd, Bangladesh.

Mr N D Rana, promoter of four amusement parks in Gujarat and also the first ride manufacturer in India in 1985, alongwith Mr Santokh Chawla, MD of Polo Amusement Parks in Delhi and Nagpur, have been elected as vice-president of IAAPI.
