Rs 15 lakh gold, silver donated to temple

Tirupati, Oct 16 (UNI) Devotees from Hyderabad and Chennai donated Rs 15 lakh worth gold and silver to the Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram here last night.

While Hyderabad-based Sri Chakra Cements Company Chairman N Krishna Mohan donated Rs 9.75 lakh worth 'Gold Nakshatra', Chennai-based S Periaswamy handed over Rs 1.50 lakh of gold ornaments to the temple, officials said here today.

Mr S Subbarayulu, a retired police official, donated Rs 3.75 lakh worth two big silver pots weighing more than 12 kg to the temple.

The ornaments and vessels were handed over to the TTD officials inside the temple, the officials added.
