Revolver recovered from house of Mohit's father

Patiala, Oct 16 (UNI) Jalandhar police raided the house of Shiv Kumar Sharma, SSP Vigilance Bureau here today and seized a revolver from the house.

Police sources said that Police party headed by one inspector, went to the house of Sharma in street Number 8 in Guru Nanak Nagar locality here.

The SSP's son Mohit, a Ludhiana-based Diamond trader and main accused in looting of a Mumbai jeweller, had accompanied the police party, sources said adding that the revolver was recovered with Mohit's help.

Earlier, diamonds worth crores looted from the Mumbai jeweller Bavesh Shah on October 9 at Phillaur were recovered from Mohit's house in Ludhiana.

It could not be ascertained immediately wether the revolver seized today was licensed or not, they said.
