Madurai: Collector launches 'Nootrukku Nooru'

Madurai, Oct 16: Aim for Centrum pass percentage in Tenth and Plus Two examinations urged Madura Collector SS Jawahar. She launched the 'Nootrukku Nooru" campaign asking school teachers to work with students alone.

“Last year"s results were good because of teachers" hard work. The same spirit should be shown once again to make every student pass in the public examinations during the 2008-09 academic year," he said.

The Collector was speaking at the Teachers" Day function organised by the Department of School Education to felicitate those seven teachers from Madurai district who received the State Government"s Best Teacher Awards this year and to honour teachers who had retired from service.
