Dalai Lama discharged from hospital after successful treatment
New Delhi, Oct 16 (UNI) Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama was today discharged from a city hospital after successful treatment, including surgery for gall bladder stone removal.
The Dalai Lama this morning left the Delhi's Ganga Ram hospital after a succesful surgery, medical director of the hospital Nalini Kaul told UNI.
''The Dalai Lama was discharged from hospital this morning,'' Dr Kaul said.
She said the treatment of the spiritual leader, who had been admitted to the hospital on October 9 following abdominal pain, was very successful.
''The Dalai Lama went out a very healthy and happy person,'' Dr Kaul said.
Coming out of the hospital, the Dalai Lama said,''I am extremely happy with the treatment given and I had a pleasant stay here.'' During his stay in the hospital, the Dalai Lama underwent a laproscopic surgery on October 10 to remove stones from the gall bladder.
