AP Cooperatives, RRBs to get rs 2572.41 crore from NABARD
Hyderabad, Oct 16 (UNI) The apex Andhra Pradesh Cooperative Bank(APCOB) and Regional Rural Banks in Andhra Pradesh will get a first instalment of Rs 2572.41 crore from the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development for implementing the loan waiver scheme announced by the Union Government.
Nabard's support to these banks was to enable them to give fresh loans to the farming community to ensure smooth flow of credit during the Rabi season, its Regional Chief General Manager S R Aluru said in a press release here.
While the APCOB would get Rs 1962.06 crore, the RRBS would get Rs 610.35 crore, he added.
NABARD is the nodal agency for implementation of the Debt Waiver and Debt Relief scheme announced by the Centre for cooperatives and RRBs.
