WB: 3 dead as ambulance-acid tanker collide

Hooghly, Oct 16: At least three persons were charred to death and four others seriously injured when an ambulance collided with a truck carrying acid near Maheshwarpur crossing on National Highway two under Dadpur police station here this morning.

Police said the ambulance, with seven occupants, was on way to Kolkata from Mohammed Bazar area of Birbhum when the accident occurred, killing three persons on the spot.

The injured, including an infant, were rushed to the Chinsurah Hospital where their condition was stated to be critical.
