3 arrested with 100 kg poppy husk in jammu
Jammu, Oct 16 (UNI) Three narcotics smugglers were arrested along with 100 kgs poppy husk in Samba town on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway, police said today.
Acting on a tip off, a light motor vehicle (LMV) carrying poppy husk and heading towards Jalandhar (Punjab) from Srinagar, was intercepted by police at Samba town yesterday.
''Three narcotics smugglers were arrested from the sumo and 100 kg poppy straw was seized from their possession,'' police said.
The smugglers were identified as Kulwinder Singh, Jaswinder Singh and Balwinder Singh , all residents of Nakodar, Punjab.
A case under NDPS Act was registered against them for further investigation.
