'Reservation must for visually challenged'

Salem, Oct 15: Visually challemged people canenjoy reservation if Tamil Nadu Government agrees to Tamil nadu Goodwill Association of the Blind. They have appealed for one per cent reservation for the visually challenged persons while recruiting graduate teachers.

The Government had announced the recruitment of 7,500 graduate teachers recently. But it had not allotted one per cent of the total vacancies (75 posts) for visually challenged persons. The association also appealed to the Government to create 400 to 500 teaching vacancies for the visually challenged once in five years. They should be provided financial help to employ assistants.
