Taj-Muhoot for new Gateway Hotel in Kochi

Mumbai, Oct 15: Part of Taj chain of hotels and resorts, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) and Muthoot Hotels&Infrastructure Ventures have entered into a management contract to develop a 200-room Gateway Hotel in Kochi. The Gateway Hotel will be strategically located near Kochi International Airport, IT hubs and Cochin Special Economic Zone (SEZ), a release said.

''This initiative into the burgeoning markets is a key aspect of the domestic expansion strategy and Kochi has been in the forefront of rapid growth. Strategic location and the timing of the project are the key factors in establishing our presence in this important market,'' said Raymond Bickson, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IHCL, in the release.
