RBI fixes reference rate at Rs 48.43 per USD
Mumbai, Oct 15 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate for US dollar at Rs 48.43 per unit, up by 72 paise, against yesterday's rate of Rs 47.71 per dollar.
The reference rate for Euro also edged up by 79 paise at Rs 65.91 per unit from yesterday's rate of Rs 65.12 per unit, a RBI release said.
The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were quoted high at Rs 84.5467 (83.3088) per Pound and Rs 47.64 (46.58) per 100 units of Yen, it added.
