Mumbai, Oct 15: Engineering and construction major L&T on Wednesday, Oct 15 reported a 32.47 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 462 crore for the second quarter of the current fiscal.

The company in a release here said that for the corresponding quarter of last fiscal its PAT stood at Rs 348 crore. There was nearly a 40 per cent increase in net sales at Rs 7,680 crore as compared to Rs 5,499 crore reported during the quarter ended September 30, 2007, the release added.
