Firms bid prices as Govt set to procure TV sets for distribution

Chennai, Oct 15 (UNI) Nineteen firms have presented price bids as the Tamil Nadu Government is all set to procure 40 lakh colour television sets for distribution under the fourth phase.

An official release here today said an all-party Legislative Committee, headed by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, received the sealed boxes, containing the price bids and models of television sets presented by the companies.

The committee would open the sealed tender boxes in the presence of the representatives of the companies at 1630 hrs on November four.

Videocon Industries, Dixon Technologies, Clear Vision Industries, S P Electronics, Kevin Infotech, Beltech, Itech India, East India Technologies, Suntech Vision and Kitchen Appliances were among the 19 companies, which took part in the tender process, the release added.
