Delhi Assy polls: Congress forms selection panels for all seats
New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI) The Congress today set up panels for selecting candidates for all the 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly, which is scheduled to go to the polls on November 29.
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Jai Prakash Agarwal said the screening committee set up by the party to select names of the candidates for the assembly polls today shortlisted 200 names, out of the 700 applications.
The selection panels will now draw the final list of candidates for the Assembly seats, from up to four candidates' names for each seat.
The next meeting of the election committee will be held on October 20, Mr Agarwal said.
