Truck rams into house, woman killed, 3 injured

New Delhi, Oct 14 (UNI) A 50-year-old woman was killed and three others, including her son and pregnant daughter-in-law were injured when a mini truck lost control and rammed into their home in Rohini area of North-West Delhi this morning.

While Hari Duwari died soon after, her son Dharamvir (20), daughter-in-law Nehaloo (20) and their neighbour Vimla (50) sustained multiple injuries after the mini truck 'hit' their Sector 20 residence, according to the police.

The truck lost control while negotiating a turn.

All the four were rushed to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where Duwari was declared brought dead.

While Dharamvir received injuries on his head and leg, his sister-in-law Nehaloo got injuries on her neck, face and backbone.

The condition of Vimla, who suffered multiple fractures, was serious, said the doctors.

Police said a case of rash and negligent driving had been registered and search for the truck driver was on.
