Rs 13 lakh looted from Syndicate Bank in Hardwar
Dehra Dun, Oct 14 (UNI) Four unidentified miscreants looted Rs 13 lakh from a cashier of the Syndicate Bank in the Jualapur area of Hardwar last evening, police said today.
According to Sub Inspector Harinder Singh, four armed youths entered the bank at around 1600 hrs and robbed the cashier at gunpoint. While two of the miscreants entered the bank first, they were joined by the other two, who told the guard on duty that they were waiting for their cash transaction.
The miscreants then looted the cashier at gunpoint and fled with Rs 13 lakh, Mr Singh told UNI.
He said the local police had alerted other banks in the area and a manhunt was launched for the miscreants.
