Road accident kills 6 in UP

Lucknow, Oct 14 (UNI) At least six pilgrims were killed and 14 injured when a bus carrying them skidded into a gorge in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh today.

According to Pratapgarh Superintendent of Police (SP) Ajay Mishra, the driver of the ill-fated bus ferrying 60 adults and 12 children from West Bengal to Ajmer, lost control over its wheels near Dhakva.

Four passengers died on the spot, while two succumbed later in hospital.

Of the injured, two were stated critical, the SP informed.

The deceased included the bus conductor.
