Paswan suggests National Committee to scrutinise all organisations
Bhubaneswar, Oct 14 (UNI) Steel, Chemicals and Fertiliser Minister Ram Villas Paswan today suggested that a national level screening committee be constituted to probe into the activities of various organisations working against the interests of the country.
Talking to newsmen here, Mr Paswan said reputed experts from various fields in the country be taken into the committee to find out which organisation was working in favour of national interests or against the interest of the nation.
And on the basis of the findings of the committee, the organisations found to be indulging in anti-national activities be banned. This apart the organisations should not be allowed to demonstrate their arms and weapon in violation of the Constitution, Mr Paswan said.
Holding the Viswa Hindu Parishad(VHP) and Bajrang Dal responsible for sponsoring the unabated communal violence in Kandhmal in Orissa and Karnatak, the Lok Janashakti Party(LJP) president demanded a ban on these two organisations in the country.
He said barring the BJP, almost all other political parties in yesterday's National Integration Council(NIC) meeting demanded that the Bajrang Dal be banned for instigating communal violence in the BJP-ruled states in the country.
The Union Minister also demanded probe into the syllabus and the teaching in the educational institutions, run by various organisations, and said a uniform syllabus should be adopted for all the educational institutions across the country, irrespective of their affiliations to different organisations.
