Heroin worth Rs 50 lakh seized in Meerut
Meerut, Oct 14 (UNI) Police have seized 750 gram of heroin in Shastri Nagar area of Meerut districty in Uttar Pradesh.
Police Commissioner Rakesh Jolly today said on the basis of specific information, the police raided Sector three area late last night and recovered 750 gram heroin, estimated at Rs 70 lakh in the international market.
Mr Jolly said one Rajendra, who dealt in the illegal trade, escaped from police custody at Peernagar in Simbhawali police station area of Ghaziabad district. Two teams have been formed to nab him and his associates.
