Centre directs UP police to be vigilant

New Delhi, Oct 14 (UNI) The Centre has directed UP police to keep vigilance following the blast in Kanpur in which six people have been injured this evening .

The Union Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta spoke to the Director General of Police (DGP), UP after the blast.

The DGP informed Mr Gupta that the blast was caused by a crude bomb. He said it appears to be a handy work of miscreants.

The Union Home Secretary has asked the DGP to remain vigilant.
