AP Govt withholds pension, gratuity of convicted official
Hyderabad, Oct 14 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government today issued orders, permanently withholding the pension and gratuity in full of S M Rasool, former Accounts Officer in the Office of Curator, Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, following his conviction in a bribery case.
According to a press release here, Rasool was trapped by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on August 16, 1999, when he accepted a bribe of Rs 6,000 from the complainant for regularly deducting the instalments of the loan amount, arranged by him, for the employees of the Zoological Park and depositing the same in Andhra Bank, which provided the loan.
