23 killed, 44 injured in road accident
Guwahati, Oct 14 (UNI) At least 23 people, including six women and as many children, were killed and 44 others injured when an overcrowded bus collided with a truck at Beltoli Chariali near Bilasipara, about 310 km west of Guwahati, at around midnight last night.
Police here today said the bus was travelling from Golokganaj to Golghat and the accident occurred at around midnight when most of the passengers were asleep.
Among the dead, were 11 men, six women and as many children. The injured were rushed to the Bilasipara civil hospital.
