Rs 12.5 lakhs looted in a road-robbery
Mandya, Oct 13(UNI) In a broad-day swoop a four-men gang have looted Rs 12.5 lakhs after assaulting two members near Shivapur in Maddur taluk in Mandya district today.
Police said that a four-member came in two bikes waylaid two people who were also in a bike near Shivapur in Maddur taluk and robbed Rs 12.5 lakhs from them after assaulting them with lethal weapons.
Both the victims, employees of a petrol outlet were on their way to a nationalised bank to remit the cash which was robbed off from them by the masked gang of four.
Both the injured victims have been admitted to Mandya general hospital and were recovering, the police said.
