PT Chief to attend all party meeting on Lankan Tamils issue

Coimbatore, Oct 13(UNI) Puthiya Tamizhagam(PT) founder-president K Krishnasamy would attend the All-Party meeting called by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi tomorrow to discuss the Sri Lankan Tamils issue.

Talking to newspersons here today, he said only separate 'Tamil Eelam' would solve the ethinic problem in Sri Lanka. The Congress President and the United Progressive Alliance(UPA) Chairman Sonia Gandhi should initiate measures to solve the problem in Sri Lanka like her mother-in-law and the late Indira Gandhi, who took timely and commedable steps to pave way for the birth of Bangladesh, he added.

Dr Krishnasamy said the all-party meeting should evolve a consensus to permanently solve the Tamils problem in the Island Nation.

The PT Chief urged AIADMK, MDMK and DMDK, among other political parties to participate in the meeting to show the nation that the Tamils in the State were unanimous in expressing their solidarity to their brethren in Sri Lanka.
