Lankan held at airport for fake immigration seal

Chennai, Oct 13 (UNI) Airport Police today detained a UK citizen of Sri Lankan origin on the charges of faking the immigration seal at the Anna International Airport here.

Airport sources here said Antony Kumar N (31) was to board an Emirates Flight to Dubai for proceeding to Birmingham (in the UK) when the Immigration authorities found he had a fake immigration seal on his passport showing he had come to Chennai on October 7.

He was arrested by the Airport Police who slapped a case on him under various sections of the Foreigners Act. He was handed over to the CB-CID.
