Honorary D.Litt to Thorat

Jabalpur, Oct 13 (UNI) More than 100 students will be given gold medals during 23rd convocation of Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalay here tomorrow, official sources said today.

Convocation programme chief convener Kamlesh Mishra said that Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jakhar would be the chief guest.

''The function will be presided over by Kashi Hindu Vishwavidyalay (Varanasi) former vice chancellor Punjab Singh while the special guest will be Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University (Jabalpur) Vice Chancellor Gautam Kalloo,'' he said.

Honorary degree of D.Litt will be conferred upon University Grant Commission Chairman S K Thorat in Economics, Dr R K Pachouri in Bio-science, Mr Punjab Singh in Education and Prof Ram Prakash in Literature, he added.
