Itanagar, Oct 13 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor General (Retd) J J Singh is on a fortnight's visit to US and UK with an aim at showcasing the state on international platform.
According to official sources, the governor had been invited by some premier institutes and organisations in both the countries to preside over functions and deliver lectures on topic highlighting Arunachal Pradesh and its potential, development and investment avenues.
Mr Singh would deliver lectures at the Johns Hopkins University, the University of Maryland, the Robert H Smith School of Business, the National Geographic Society Digital Media, the Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation of US and others, sources said.
'' It is a great opportunity to showcase Arunachal's tourism potential, including its impressive variety of flora and fauna, vibrant rivers and rapids, snow-clad mountains and dense tropical forests,'' Singh said adding he would be in talks with the National Geographic Channel and others to unveil the state's hidden paradise.
According to him, it was also a great opportunity to tell the world about the rapid developmental activity being undertaken in the state by the Centre.
Furthermore, the governor would pay his own expenses so that the state exchequer might not be burdened, sources informed.
