Groundnutseed, oil, RBD Palm oil ease

Mumbai, Oct 13 (UNI) Prices of groundnutseed and its oil along with RBD palm oil fell on the third consecutive day today following sustained heavy selling pressure from stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oilseeds (per quintal), groundnutseed and castorseed Disa eased by Rs 25 and Rs 85 per quintal respectively, on sluggish demand from bulk consumers.

However, Javas 70/80 and Javas 80/90 rose by Rs 75 and Rs 50 per quintal respectively, on speculative demand by bulk consumers.

Castorseed Hyderabad too edged up by Rs 30 per quintal following sustained demand by stockists.

In oils (per ten kg), groundnut oil and cottonseed refined declined by Rs five per ten kg each on poor demand by bulk consumers. Refined Palm oil also declined by Rs four on poor offtake, traders said.

In de-oiled cakes, sunflower extr and rapeseed extr slashed by Rs 300 and Rs 100 per metric tonne (PMT) as traders were keen to sell their stocks, traders added.
