DHD urges Govt to book killer of Suraj Dimasa immediately
New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) The Peoples' Supreme Council of Dimaraji of Dima Halam Daogah (DHD) has urged the Government to immediately arrest the killer of DHD senior publicity Secretary Suraj Dimasa without any further delay.
According to DHD Dhabsiri sources, Suraj Dimasa was allegedly killed by UPDS militants in broad daylight on October three at Diphu town and in the previous year, they had also kidnapped and killed three of the DHD members. However, so far the government has not been able to book any one of them, sources claimed.
The sources told UNI that the DHD was ready for a meaningful discussion with the Central Government agency only if the UPDS was ready to give open assurance that would refrain from violence.
''This will be for greater interest of general public for keeping peace and harmony in Karbi Anglong district of Assam,'' sources added.
