Twenty houses gutted in fire in Kishtwar
Jammu Oct 12 (UNI) Around 20 houses were gutted today in a mysterious fire that broke in mountainous village of Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources here said.
''The fire broke out late last night and continued till morning.
The army personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the villagers in Chui Drahaman of Warwan area,'' sources told UNI and added that no loss of human life was reported.
However, the administration on receiving the information sent relief like blankets and ration by choppers after the fire was doused.
''Besides houses, eight shops and a religious place was destroyed in the devastating fire,'' sources said.
Last year too in a similar fire over 100 houses were destroyed in Margi village in which over 50 people were reportedly injured.
