Industrialist's wife, 2 kids jump before train in Punjab

Ludhiana, Oct 12: Thirtytwo-year old wife of a Jagraon-based industrialist alongwith her two minor children jumped before a passenger train here last night.

Police sources today said Pooja Singla alongwith her nine-year old son, Mohit and seven-year old daughter, Madhuri left her home in a car following some domestic problem. After reaching the city she parked her car a couple of yards from the railway track in the Kundanpuri locality on the Ludhiana-Jalandhar section.

According to the police, Pooja, alongwith her two children moved onto the tracks upon seeing a train coming. While she died on the spot after being hit by the train, her daughter and son were rushed to a hospital by certain residents of Kundanpuri area.

Madhuri died on the way to the hospital and Mohit breathed his last this morning.

The police have registered a case and begun investigations.

No suicide note was recovered from their car.
