Chairmen of Corporations in Maharashtra announced

Mumbai, Oct 12 (UNI) The appointments of chairmen of several corporations in Maharashtra, pending for the last four years, was finally announced after the approval of Congress Highcommand.

The list, which was disclosed last night, was delayed following lack of consensus.

Even as in the list of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) office-bearers Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh showed his clout, the same was not seen in the list of Corporation, sources said.

Anant Gedam has been made the chairman of Forest Development Corporation, while Chandrakant Raghuvanshi has been made the chairman of Tapi River Irrigation Development Corporation and Nayeem Khan, the chairman of Petroleum Development Corporation.
