Eleven injured in political clash over an area

Midnapur, Oct 11 (UNI) At least eleven people were injured in a clash between the supporters of the CPI(M) and Trinamool Congress over domination of an area at Chherua village under Sadar Kotowali PS in this district today.

Five of the wounded were admitted to Midnapur Medical College and Hospital, police said.

The clash occurred when gram unnayan committee members led by the CPI(M) allegedly went to capture a party office of the rivals, which was denied by the CPI(M).
