Two people killed by suspected Maoists in Jharkhand
Chatra (Jharkhand), Oct 10 : At least two people, including a self-styled commander of the banned Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC), were killed by suspected Maoists in Jharkhand's Chatra district today.
According to police, the TPC activists identified as Nilesh alias Kariman Ganju, was watching a cultural programme at Kunda village late last night when about fifty suspected Maoists surrounded him before shooting him dead.
The TPC is a breakaway group of the CPI (Maoist).
In a separate incident, Shyam Singh, owner of a small restaurant, was killed by unknown men at Sonepur under Sadar police station.
