Hours before PM's arrival, forces recover IED material
Srinagar, Oct 10 (UNI) Hours before the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh began his tour to the Kashmir valley, security forces unearthed a hideout and huge cache material, enough to make about 30 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in the frontier district of Kupwara.
Official sources said this afternoon that security forces, on specific intelligence, conducted a search in Kupwara.
During the search, security forces unearthed a hideout and recovered 30 Remote Control Devices (RCD) for IED, 30 electric detonators, 50 meter cordex wire, eight packets (each containing 10 detonators with wire), 19 batteries, 35 battery small, 40 pistol rounds, two magazines.
They said the material is for fabricating IEDs to cause large scale death and destruction in the valley.
