GPA holders move OHCHR for restoration of human rights

New Delhi, Oct 10 (UNI) The General Power of Attorney (GPA) holders association has approached the Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) under the United Nations for restoring them the equal rights being violated by the cooperative societies in league with the Delhi government.

The association claims to represent about 15 lakh card holders in the national capital. Convener of the association V Bali said they were treated like second class citizens, forced to live without their rights despite constituting more than 90 per cent of residents in the societies.

The association requested the good offices of the UN to use its power and restore them right to live with dignity.
