Mettur water level 72.270 ft

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 9 (UNI) The water level in the Stanley Reservoir at Mettur across River Cauvery stood at 72.270 feet this morning.

The inflow into the reservoir was 11,846 cusecs and the discharge 19,995 cusecs, PWD sources said.

From the Grand Anaicut, 2,786 cusecs of water was released through River Cauvery, 9,039 cusecs through Vennar, 3,514 cusecs through Grand Anaicut Canal and 1,601 cusecs through Coleroon for irrigation.
