Rain or thundershowers likely in North-east
Pune, Oct 8 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Orissa, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Karanataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharakhand, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Mainly dry weather is likely to prevail in Uttar Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch.
The Southwest Monsoon was subdued in Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Rayalaseeema, interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharakhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidabha, Chattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
The day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and above normal in remaining parts of west Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and below normal in some parts of Punjab. They were normal over the rest of the regions.
The night temperature were below normal in some parts of Uttarakhand. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and some parts of west Uttar Pradesh. They were above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and in remaining parts of Uttarakhand. They were normal over the rest of the regions.
Mainly dry weather prevailed in Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, west Rajasthan, Gujarat, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
