Humid weather persists in Delhi, mercury rises to 36.8 deg C
New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) Delhiites today continued to experience warm and sultry weather conditions for the third consecutive day with the mercury rising to 36.8 degrees Celsius.
Bright sunlight and a high humidity level of 77 per cent today led to a rise in maximum temperature from 36.4 degrees C yesterday to 36.8 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal.
The minimum was also recorded three degrees above normal at 23.4 degrees Celsius.
The Weatherman has forecast some relief from warm and humid weather conditions in the capital later this week.
''Under the influence of Western disturbance as an upper air system lying over Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir, isolated to scattered precipitation is likely over western Himalayan region during next 48 hours. Subsequently with the eastward movement of Western disturbance, temperatures particularly of night are likely to exhibit a decreasing trend over Northwest India,''the Met office said.
Infact, they have also predeicted a downfall in the minimum temperature to 23 degrees C tomorrow.
The Met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours.
