Hello Taxi service launches in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad, Oct 8 (UNI) With an aim to bring a drastic change in the city's transportation, Ekta Corporate services today launched the Hello Taxi Service in the city.
Chief executive officer of the company Himanshu Patel said ''we are initially introducing 35 cars as a pilot project to the city and later will add about 200 cars in the next three months''.
While explaining the benefits of Hellow Taxi, Mr Patel said that it is a luxury way of travelling in and around the city, which will be economical and also equipped with state-of-the-art technologies to make travelling smooth, convenient and easily accessible.
Mr Patel said taxies will be positioned at the airports, railway stations and inter state bus terminals, besides at major hotels and other important locations in the city. Taxi's first three kms fare would be at Rs 99, thereafter it will charge Rs 4.75 per km. It will initially charge only Rs 155 from the city municipal corporation to the airport.
The other features of the taxi included trained drivers, Global Postioning System, Panic Button for customer safety, which is directly connected to control room, who in turn contact the customers or the driver and even stop the vehicle using the new technology, Mr Patel added.
