Haryana to give 50 per cent subsidy on hybrid seeds
Chandigarh, Oct 8 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to provide 50 per cent subsidy to farmers on the sale of hybrid seeds of various vegetables under National Agriculture Development Scheme to give a boost to the vegetable production in the state.
Stating this here today, a spokesman for the Horticulture Department said the hybrid seeds of tomato, cauliflower, baby corn, sweet corn, gourd, cucumber, melon, watermelon and lady finger were available on the sale counters of District Cooperative Societies and HAFED on subsidised rates to the vegetable producers.
He said that farmers could contact their respective District Horticulture Officers or District Managers, HAFED or Horticulture Development Officers at block level for further information.
