Indore: Arrowhead in Tribal's chest for 20 yrs
Indore, Oct 8: An iron arrowhead, embedded in the chest of a 60-year-old Tribal man for 20 years, was detected in the Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital here when he was hospitalised there for treatment of his intestines.
Hospital sources said the X-Ray report of Tukaria, revealed that the iron arrowhead had been embedded in his chest very close to his heart and other soft organs. Doctors said it may pose a risk to his life in case it was operated.
The Tribal man was admitted to the hospital yesterday amazingly not for the removal of the arrow tip but for the treatment of his troubling intestines.
Tukaria said about 20 years back somebody had shot him with an arrow. He broke the wooden part of it but the iron arrowhead remained in the body causing no pain or discomfort.
