Spanco, Spice to merge domestic BPO biz

New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) Spanco Telesystems and Solutions, an information technology and hardware firm, today said it has entered into an agreement with Spice Group to merge the companies' domestic BPO businesses.

Bharat BPO, a 50:50 joint venture between Spanco and Spice Telecom's Omnia BPO Services, will merge domestic BPO businesses with itself, the company said in a statement.

''Each of these BPOs specialises in specific market and vertical segments and their coalition will lead to a synergistic value proposition for clients, enabling them to address diverse target segments through one organisation,'' it said.

At present, the JV has about 7,000 seats and will expand to about 15,000 in near future, it added.
