Tiruchirapalli, Oct 7 (UNI) Hundreds of PMK volunteers, led by party youth-wing state unit Secretary Arivuselvan and district unit president Umanath, today sent telegrams to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, urging him to ensure protection to the lives and properties of Tamils in Sri Lanka.
Talking to newspersons here, PMK student-wing (engineering-wing) state unit Secretary M Prince, who also participated in the 'telegram campaign' in support of the Sri Lankan Tamils cause, said the telegrams, urging to stop the ''genocide,'' were sent as per the directions of party founder-leader S Ramadoss.
The telegram campaign would continue for the next few days.
